Soul/Folk trio Abimaro & The Free have caused quite a stir over recent months. Towards the end of last year, Abimaro Gunnell (who provides the Lead Vocals), James Beatt (Bass and vocals) and Alex MontaQue (keys and vocals) released a free project titled ‘Books’ (download HERE!!!) which served as a 4 track EP depicting the 4 Gospels… Matthew, Mark, Luke and John which all served as the titles to the four songs.
The group are currently on an 11-date Coffee Shop tour titled the Ginger Tea Tour and admission to the performances are totally free thanks to funding from The Arts Council. However if you’re a really big fan there will be a limited number of exclusive tickets for £10 which will get you a goodie bag and free drink at the venue.
We’re also very happy to inform you that Abimaro & The Free have released their first-ever studio recorded single ‘Ginger Tea,’ released with a very special B-side titles ‘Perish, Spoil, Fade’.
