Chase Lovelace, Superchick's Drummer Passes Away

Chase LovelaceIt’s with sadness in our hearts that we report the passing away of Chase Lovelace, son, brother and drummer for Superchick, Stars Go Dim and Pillar.

Chase was a gifted musician who loved God and was able to use his gift to declare the name of the LORD around the world. It all started at the age of 3 singing on the choir and playing the tambourine.

In the summer of 2012 Chase was diagnosed with stage 4 inoperable cholangiocarcinoma (or bile duct cancer), which arises from the tissue in the bile duct.

On 29th April 2013 Chase was hospitalized with an infection, which led to testing and scans and eventually on 2nd May Chase’s liver shutting down and ultimately, his passing on 3rd May 2013.

Chase Lovelace Risen Drums

Chase’s Superchick band mates left a tribute on facebook saying,

“Chase, you were an amazing drummer and an even more amazing friend. We love you, we miss you and we’ll see you again soon… Heaven is louder and has a new big smile today.”

He drummed his way into the lives of many through his gift and touched the lives of many with his music that he never even met.

Chase’s legacy lives on in the music that is left behind and the precious memories that were created with his family, friends, band members and music lovers around the world.

Please keep Chase’s family in you prayers and they grieve their loss but celebrate Chase’s life and Heaven’s gain.
