This Sunday, Big Daddy Weave’s ‘Redeemed’ is nominated for “Christian Song Of The Year” at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards. On 1^st June the single is up for “Song of the Year” at the K-LOVE Fan Awards which are scheduled to take place at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

The Dove Award-winning band also just wrapped the spring leg of The Redeemed Tour which included numerous sold out shows throughout its 49 dates in 27 states and featured artists Chris August, Mikeschair and Citizen Way. World Vision sponsored the tour, which produced nearly 2,000 new child sponsorships. The internationally-renowned recording artist and American Idol contestant Jason Castro has topped radio charts in multiple countries, including: Norway, Singapore and The Philippines. His self-titled debut album entered the Billboard Top 200 Album chart at No. 18. Monique released ‘Unbroken,’ her debut album in 2011 and is now preparing to release her sophomore project ‘Full Circle’.

‘Full Circle’ speaks of returning to the place where you started, Monique explains, “I chose ‘Full Circle’ as the title for my forthcoming tour and album because this project is about returning back to love. It expresses the idea that we can do so many things in life, achieve amazing things, but ultimately, we are nothing without love: we’re empty. My new project explores love in different contexts.”

‘Full Circle’ will contain new sounds and textures than what was previously heard on ‘Unbroken’. Showing progression not only musically but lyrically too, Monique is venturing out.

“We have a lot of new sounds on the album, which is really exciting. It’s very soulful, quite minimal in places and you’ve got some great throwback feeling vibes in many of the songs. I’m experimenting with my writing, the different textures in my voice and I’m working with an amazing team in The Hutchinson Bros. (Daniel and Andre Hutchinson) My experience of writing dance music over the past couple years has definitely influenced my writing too.”

The ‘Full Circle’ album is accompanied by the ‘Full Circle Tour,’ which is Monique’s first tour, which will see her travel throughout the country bringing an intimate musical experience and gripping live performance everywhere she travels. The tour kicks off on 22^nd June 2013 at Birmingham’s Hare and Hounds and information on all dates can be found on Monique’s website.

That two year gap has allowed Nathan to mature not just as a singer and songwriter, but also as a voice within the worship community. Even at the first listen, it is clear that ‘Love Stands Forever’ is a project which has plenty of offer.

Nathan’s onto something with this album. Songs like ‘No Limit To Your Love’ and ‘Burning Heart’ share the same DNA as stadium anthems, but without ever stepping away from simple arrangements and acoustic instruments. ‘Broken Hallelujah’ and ‘Lead Me Home’ manage to present vulnerable honesty and divine-fueled optimism in the same breath, while ‘I Am Redeemed’ remains the killer worship song that first caught everyone’s attention a couple of years ago.

A keen student of his craft, at times ‘Love Stands Forever’ nods towards Ben Howard and Elliott Smith, but never at the expense of congregational accessibility. And having toured already this year with Ben Cantelon and Rend Collective Experiment – and with further support slots with Phil Wickham, as well as an appearance at this year’s Big Church Day Out – Nathan has had plenty of experience leading congregations in worship.

‘Love Stands Forever’ features co-writes with Luke Hellebronth (Worship Central), Nick Herbert, Chris Llewellyn (Rend Collective Experiment), David Ostby and others. And having Dan Wheeler as producer is a perfect match up with Nathan’s organic, honest approach to songwriting.

In March of this year, singer, songwriter and television/film actor/writer Carman was diagnosed with terminal, multiple myeloma cancer, a cancer of the blood that affects the body’s bone marrow, and was given a three to five year life expectancy by doctors. Stunned and initially devastated by the news, Carman’s spirit was soon lifted up by the overwhelming love and support received by tens of thousands of fans after posting the news on his Facebook page. Turning the death sentence into a renewed vision and hope for the future, Carman is not only determined to fight the cancer, but is also well underway to his first independent, fan-funded new album and music video through Kickstarter, the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects.

Launched on 19^th April, Carman’s Kickstarter campaign has already become the most successful Christian music campaign ever for Kickstarter. Raising more than $158,000 to date, the campaign donations are on target to reach Carman’s $200,000 goal by his deadline of 18^th June. Fans are able to donate as little as $1 up to several thousand dollars with commensurate gifts of appreciation from Carman once the campaign is fully funded and the album and music video are recorded and released.

“I’m so excited about this incredible opportunity we all have through Kickstarter to make something happen as a team and a family,” says Carman to his fans. “Cancer pronounced a death sentence, but you have been life to me, rallying me back into the fight and praying me back to my feet. As one fan said on my Facebook page, ‘Look at what Jesus did in three years.’ So as for you and me, with this new project and us working together, the next three years are going to be a blast.”

In addition to the new music, Carman is determined to not let cancer detract from doing what he does best, sharing the hope of the Gospel to live audiences.

Momentum continues for Redman as he is set to record a brand new worship album at Passion City Church’s ‘LIFT: A Worship Leader Collective’ in Atlanta, GA from 31^st May – 1^st June. Hosted by Louie Giglio and GRAMMY winner Chris Tomlin, the event will bring together worship leaders from across the country. Redman’s forthcoming project will be a live recording from the event, following suit with ‘10,000 Reasons,’ which was recorded at the LIFT gathering in 2011. The new album will release on 24^th September 2013.
