Jelz Uses Positive Urban Music To Bring Hope To The Young & Hopeless

Jelz Music

Jeremy ‘Jelz’ Zulu is an up and coming artist from London (UK) who is as much about his music as he is about making an impact in his community and bringing about social change.

Jelz has been travelling up and down the country for the last few years ad during that time released a single titled ‘I’ve Got Something To Say’ which featured Ruth Rhodes. The song came out of his personal experiences in life, particularly healing and the forgiveness of his father who battled with alcoholism; something a lot of the young people he works with could easily relate to.

Jelz has also dedicated his first major project to the work he does with Switch It! Football and Life. Switch It! is a football and mentoring project for young people in South East London.

One of the ways he is financing Switch IT! is from sales of his EP titled ‘Positive Barz, It’ A Standard Ting!’. All funds from the EP go towards the project and creating further mentoring opportunities for the young people.

“I am so blessed to have become a Christian at a young age, I am so thankful that I had a church and a youth club where I could go and express myself freely and receive help and support in life’s struggles. Many young people today especially the ones we are working with do not have this says the rapper currently furthering his education at University, studying music production.
