John P. Kee’s ‘Life And Favor’ will be available on 28th August and marks another milestone for one of Gospel music’s greatest pioneers. After vesting seventeen years as an artist on Verity Gospel Music Group, Kee will celebrate his inaugural release on his own Kee Music Group label with distribution via Central South Distribution. “I know what the machine [record label] knows,” explains Kee. “I was asked to submit music for a new project and I felt that after thirty years in the music business, it was time to do this on my own.”
“It’s an exciting opportunity to partner with Pastor Kee on his first release from his new label,” states Vicki Mack Lataillade, Central South Distribution’s chief marketing officer. “This project is a significant body of work for Gospel music because it represents the continue evolution of music from a pioneer who continues to deliver excellence in ministry.”
With an astounding career that includes 21 Stellar Gospel Music Awards, a Soul Train Music Award, two Billboard Music Awards, seven Grammy Award nominations, a Trailblazer Award from former President Bill Clinton, and The James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award from this year’s Stellar Gospel Music Awards, Pastor John P. Kee continues his streak of delivering something special with this project. That something special for ‘Life And Favor’ is anointed music paired with friends and family.
Kee, who is acknowledged as “The Prince Of Gospel,” has enlisted a who’s who of music’s finest to appear with him on ‘Life And Favor’. “Everyone who sang on this project dedicated their services and are real friends and family,” Kee shares. “They all have a genuine place in my spirit and I’m honored to have worked with the likes of Lalah Hathaway, Kirk Franklin and Frank McComb on the same project!”
Kee shares his personal testimony of God’s favor on the title track and radio single ‘Life And Favor’ featuring James Fortune, Isaac Carree and LeJuene Thompson. The emotionally stirring single is currently holding rank in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Gospel Radio chart. The video single is a visually captivating display of precisely choreographed typography that reinforces the power of what a lyric can do to minister to the spirit and the soul.
“This project represents a new beginning that will elevate the call to Worship,” promises Kee. “Get ready!”
