UK Gospel Represented At The Essential Music Business Seminar 2014

Glocal World Entertainment have announced plans to launch a new Music Industry initiative, The Essential Music Business Seminar, on Saturday 18th January 2014 in London.

The inaugural event, founded by young music executive Ryan J. Bruce, will be hosted by MTV’s ‘The Wrap Up’-Presenter Cheyenne Davide at The Lost Theatre in Wandsworth, and will feature speakers and panelists from some of the Industry’s Top Corporations, including MTV, BBC Radio 1, BMI, INGrooves, Yinka Awojobi (of UKGospel.com) and many more.

The day-long seminar will comprise of a series of panel discussions and keynote speeches, with topics ranging from ‘Getting Started in The Music Business’, to ‘The Appropriate Approach to Networking’, to ‘The EDM Takeover’ which will explore how and why Electronic Dance Music has taken such a prominent place in today’s popular music culture. There will also be a ‘New Artist’ showcase featuring some of Glocal World Entertainment’s talent.

Speaking on the new initiative, Ryan said “I actually came up with the idea to do this event last year. There are many other great events like this out there. The Young Guns Network, The Ultimate Seminar (which we highly recommend all industry heads attend) are some great examples, but for us, you can never have too much of them. This industry is changing rapidly, hence why our theme is ‘The Blueprint for Industry Evolution’.”

Bruce also went on to discuss future plans: “Following the seminar, we plan to launch a bi-monthly workshop entitled ‘The Industry Insider’, which will be a more intimate event that will act as somewhat of an ‘after-care system’. Sometimes at these conferences, a lot of the information can go over your head, so we wanted put a follow-up in place.”

Speakers at The Essential Music Business Seminar will include MTV Europe Music Editor Lindsay Wesker, BRIT Awards Judge Ruby Mulraine (Former and Founding Executive Producer at BBC Radio 1 & 1xtra), INGrooves Client Services Manager Sharon Matheson, BMI Executive Simon Aldridge, and many more.
