Write-Way Music Short Film ‘One Way’ Comes To Birmingham

One Way Short Film

Write-Way Music are currently on a tour of the UK screening their latest project ‘One Way’ the short film directed by Gbemi Ikumelo (2011 – Running time 35 mins – Certificate PG).

Already screening the film in London (to a sold out audience) and with further screenings set for Manchester, Nottingham and other cities where there is popular demand, the screening in Birmingham (at The Drum, 144 Potters Lane, Aston, Birmingham, B6 4UU) is set to draw people from all walks of life to come and be inspired by the ‘One Way’ film.

‘One Way’ (film) see’s the members of the Urban Gospel four-piece (Tunday, Presha J, Rhema and Leke) take to the screen as actors telling the story of four young men from different backgrounds and takes us on the journey of how their paths cross which changes their lives forever. This film is extremely personal to the four members of Write-Way, as it is an insight into the reckless lives they used to live and the defining moments that set them onto the straight and narrow. The film tackles head on the battles that take place in communities every day and the fight to choose the right way to live.

The film will be followed by a question and answers session with members of the Write-Way team and a live performance featuring songs taken off their debut music project as a group, the ‘One Way’ LP.
