February is the month that will see Black Grape, Yamaha and 2 time MOBO Award winning artist YolanDa Brown headline 2 massive shows at the prestigious HMV Hammersmith Apllo backed by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on February 14th and 17th… If that wasn’t exciting enough, the Jazz Saxophonist is also releasing her debut album titled ‘April Showers, May Flowers’.
Brown’s nationwide album tour with her full live band starts at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo where she previously supported The Temptations during their UK tour a few years ago. She has also toured with, to critical acclaim, Errol Brown, Courtney Pine, David Sanborn, Kenny G and Diana Krall. YolanDa has worked in collaboration with artists such as Mica Paris and Soweto Kinch, she has also performed as a part of Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.
Her music remains true to the Jazz coda whilst continuing to embrace and incorporate other musical influences as equals.
The HMV Apollo concerts will provide an opportunity for all to join YolanDa Brown at what will be the live inauguration of this exciting development to her musical journey, featuring new music from her debut album, ‘April Showers, May Flowers,’ embedded as never before, in a unique orchestral setting.
Joining her on stage as special guests will be Ian Shaw, Mica Paris, Omar, Mike Aremu and Jacqui Dankworth.
